Morning tour (Wed or Fri, 08:30 am to 14:30 pm):

Afternoon tour (Mon or Do, 12:30 pm to 07:00 pm):

13 yr.
6- 12 yr.: 50% discount
upon reservation a deposit of US$ 21 p.p.

You pay the balance in cash at check-in (in guilders).

Location & Transportation

The starting and ending point of this tour is the Church of San Jose in Barber (Banda Abou, about half an hour’s drive from Willemstad). A transfer is not offered with this tour.

What to expect

Land – safari truck
Starting point is at the Church of San Jose in Barber. Take a seat in the back of the safari truck with the unique roof so you are not sitting full in the sun. In total, this trip is for up to 10 people, so it remains small and cozy. First you will go to the north side of Curaçao, partly over paths where you don’t come easily by rental car. Guide Arie-Jan will occasionally stop to talk about the beautiful and interesting history of the locations you pass. Eventually you will arrive at the north coast, a rough area where the seawater violently hits the pointed rocks.
Sea – boat
Next, you drive at leisure via a beautiful route towards the south coast to San Juan. a large private estate with forest and beach. In the authentic fishing port you will transfer to the boat ‘Barku Bèrdè’ (‘green boat’) to continue this wonderful tour by sea. You sail just below the coastline of Curaçao, with a good view of the impressive rough nature that is interspersed with beautiful and idyllic beaches. Undoubtedly you will also see plenty of flying fish around you and with a little luck you will encounter dolphins. After about half an hour of sailing you will arrive at Blue Room, the famous cave where inside by “freak of nature” a beautiful blue glow shines.
When the sea does not allow us to enter the Blue Room we make an additional snorkeling stop before returning to port.
Food – lunch or BBQ
After the Safari and the Boat-trip it is time for the inner man. If you opt for the morning tour, we will take you to a local eatery for a freshly prepared lunch with Caribbean flavors appropriate to Banda Bou. The morning tour ends around 02:30 pm.
If you have chosen for the afternoon tour, you can join the bbq immediately after returning to the harbor. Chef Peter will serve a tasty bbq during “the Golden Hour”. Don’t forget to take pictures of the beautiful sunset. When the BBQ is finished, the safari truck will drive you back to the starting point in about 10 minutes and this beautiful tour comes to an end (indication end time:07:00 pm).
