Off-Road Buggy Tour
With this Off-Road Buggy Tour you will discover the west side of Curacao that you cannot explore in your regular rental car. Led by an experienced guide, explore the off-road area west of town. The tour is about 3 hours with up to 2 people per buggy. The listed rate is per buggy, regardless of 1 or 2 persons.
- 3 hours of cruising in a buggy
- incl. drinks & snack
- Drive yourself (18+, valid driver’s license)
- max. 2 persons per buggy
- incl. bandana and goggles against dust
What does the Off-Road Buggy Tour look like?
Fifteen minutes before departure of the Buggy Tour, report to Dreams Curacao Resort on the west side of town. You’ll get a bandana and dust goggles here, both to protect you from all the dust you’ll get all over you along the way. That looks promising! Of course you’ll get an explanation about the baby carriage (for those in the know: a Kawasaki Teryx V Twin 800) and the tour, but then you’ll quickly hit the road, with up to 2 people per baby carriage.
You pass through the “desert of Curacao” via the Plain of Hato and San Pedro. In dry weather plenty of dust, in wet weather plenty of mud puddles to cross through. Your first stop is at Boca Ascension, where with a little luck you can spot Waldo the Turle. Then drive on to Boka Patrick, the beautiful natural fountain on the shoreline. No doubt by now you’ve gotten dirty from all the dust and/or mud, so high time to rinse off. To do that, cross the island to the south coast, to dive into the sea at Daaibaai beach for a while (tip: put swimwear on under your regular clothes). On the way back, another nice stop at Jan Kok to spot flamingos.
To take this Buggy Tour, the driver must be 18 yr. old. or older and possess valid driver’s license (show driver’s license at check-in). The passenger must be at least 4 feet. tall.
You can do this tour for US$ 250 per buggy, with per buggy 1 or 2 persons. Price is per buggy! When booking a deposit of US$ 55 per buggy. If you want, you can book a transfer with it so that you will be picked up and brought back (only possible from the larger accommodations in town).
