What does Beaches, BBQ & Blue Room look like

You are expected at 08:00 for check-in at Village Marina (Caracas Bay). After some explanations from the captain, the catamaran departs at 8:30 a.m. and right away the enjoyment begins as you sail away over the Spanish Water and sandwiches are served for breakfast. Soon you leave the city behind and sail past all kinds of beautiful beaches and idyllic coves. Three stops will be made:

Kokomo

One of Curacao’s most popular beaches. The boat anchors in the bay after which you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. Along the rocks on the side you will find the smallest beach in Curacao. A wonderful start to the day!

Cas Abou

Cas Abao Beach is a must see! This beach has been named among the best beaches in the world by National Geographic and others. Swim, snorkel and relax. Meanwhile, the crew on board will prepare a delicious BBQ lunch for you.

Blue Room

After lunch we head to Blue Room, a cave accessible only by sea where the sun and sky transform this underwater cave into a beautiful “blue room.” Under the guidance of the crew, you can explore this beautiful cave.

Back by bus

After Blue Room, the catamaran continues sailing toward Westpoint, Playa Kalki. At Playa Kalki, the bus is ready to take you back to town. And that has a big advantage: no chance of seasickness, which you otherwise have when sailing from West Point toward the city.
Around 17:30 you will be back at Village Marina and the tour will come to an end. No doubt you had a wonderful day!

Insider tips

We did this fun boat trip ourselves, of course. From our experience, the following tips:

Zonnetje

It’s always sunny on Curacao! Really take plenty of sun protection with you, because you will be in full sun all day on the boat. A sun hat, an extra bath towel to put over your legs, UV shirt, etc. And keep applying good sunscreen all day long, especially again when you just got out of the sea.

Drankje

If you like a beer, put 1 or 2 cans of beer in your bag at Playa Kalki before you get off the boat. On the bus, you then have a nice drink to go with it. Other drinks are served in plastic cups, making it difficult to carry from the boat.

Gemak van transfer

On the way back by bus, all guests who had booked a transfer will be dropped off directly at their accommodations. Perhaps a good argument for booking a transfer with it. If you are by private transportation, then you will probably suffer from the daily traffic jam on Caracasbaaiweg to/from Jan Thiel.
