Location & Transportation

The starting and ending point of this tour is the Church of San Jose in Barber (Banda Abou, about half an hour’s drive from Willemstad). No transfer is offered with this tour.

What to expect.

North Coast – buggy
At 1:25 p.m. gather at the Church of San Jose in Barber. Get on the back of the baby carriage, under the roof of course so you’re not full in the sun. In total, this trip is for up to 9 people, so it will remain small and cozy. First you’ll go to the north side of Curacao, partly over paths you won’t easily reach by rental car. Guide Arie-Jan will occasionally stop to talk about the beautiful and interesting history of the locations you pass. Eventually you will arrive at the north coast, a rough area where the seawater violently hits the pointed rocks.
South coast – boat
Next, you will drive at leisure along a scenic route towards the south coast. To San Juan. a large private estate with forest and beach. At the beach you transfer to the boat “Barku berde” (“green boat”) to continue this wonderful tour by sea. You sail just below the coastline of Curacao, with a good view of the impressive rough nature that is interspersed with beautiful and idyllic beaches. Undoubtedly you will also see plenty of flying fish around you and with a little luck you will encounter dolphins. After about half an hour of sailing you will arrive at Blue Room, the famous cave where inside by “freak of nature” a beautiful blue glow shines. On the way back AJ will – if the sea permits – do another snorkeling stop and then you sail back to the beach of San Juan.
Private Beach – BBQ
After the Buggy and the Boat, it’s time for the 3rd “B” of this tour: BBQ! On the private beach you can take off your swimwear if you want, but keep an eye on the sun. It is now “golden hour” with a beautiful sunset. Don’t forget to take pictures! While you are still enjoying the trip, chef Peter is already busy with the bbq. Take a seat at the table and enjoy.
When the BBQ is finished you drive back to the starting point in about 10 minutes and this beautiful tour comes to an end (indication end time: 19:30). For sure this has become one of the highlights of your vacation!
