Good to know:
There is no minimum age, but there is a minimum height of 4.3 ft. / 1.30 meters.
If you are between 4 and 4.3 ft. (1.20 to 1.30 meters), you may do the Dolphin Swim when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

Rate

US$ 194 p.p., including all-day admission to Sea Aquarium Park.

Transportation

No hotel pickup is offered for this excursion. You can easily park your rental car in the Mambo Beach Boulevard lot (free) or across from LionsDive Beach Resort (paid parking).

Dolphin Swim

What to expect.

Curacao’s most popular dolphin excursion. Swimming by yourself in the lagoon and meanwhile 2 dolphins swimming around you. Like a real dolphin trainer, you can make the dolphins do beautiful tricks with a few hand gestures. Dancing, singing, making a big splash: it is fun to be able to do this activity with the dolphins.
Before you enter the water, you will receive swim fins. You will then be divided into a group of up to 6 people and go with your group to the pool where you will do the Dolphin Swim. You get clear explanations (possible in English or Dutch) about what to do and also what not to do when the dolphin come to you.
In the water, 2 dolphins come to your group and you can take turns doing a trick with the dolphin, of course fully guided by the dolphin trainer. In between you can swim a lap and the dolphin will cozy up next to you and swim with you. You spend about half an hour in the water with the dolphins.

Afterwards, you can rinse off the salt water in the shower and look at your photos with the dolphins in the Photo Shop. The photos will be taken anyway, afterwards you have to decide if you want to buy them or not(for rates look here).

Insider tips

We did this fun Dolphin Swim ourselves, of course. From our experience, the following tips:

As with almost all excursions these days, Dolphin Swim requires you to fill out a waiver that you do this activity at your own risk. Advice: do this in advance “at home” in your accommodation. In the confirmation email you will receive a link for this purpose that allows you to arrange this in advance on your phone or laptop at your convenience. If you can’t, no problem, you can still do this on the spot at check-in. But in doing so, you then have to do it on a tablet that is in a waterproof case. That’s a little tricky, so it takes you much longer than if you’ve already done this relaxed at home.
If you still need to do this on the spot at check-in, keep in mind and arrive 5 minutes earlier.

Access to Sea Aquarium Park for all day, including prior to your activity.
Use of swim fins (mandatory, you may also bring your own).
At an additional cost: photos of your Dolphin Swim, afterward in the Photo Shop.

Bring your own

Swimwear, towel.
Sunscreen or UV shirt.
Optional: own swim fins. If necessary, bring your own snorkel set, which you may then add to the last few minutes.

Change and cancel

You can change or cancel a booked Dolphin Swim up to 24h in advance completely free of charge. If we are already within 24h before the booked date then charges may apply.
