How the glass bottom boat trip works
- Check in at Playa DaaibooiPark for free at the beach and check in at the boat. This is also where you pay the balance, by debit or credit card (no cash).
- Board and set sailFind a relaxed spot on one of the benches along the sides. There’s seating for everyone and a roof against the sun.
- Past Porto Mari and Playa HunkuYou sail west along the reef. Through the glass floor you see coral, schools of fish and sometimes a turtle.
- Swim stop at Cas AbouHalf an hour of swimming and snorkeling in the clear water of Cas Abou. If you like, the crew gives you some food to feed the fish. Prefer to stay dry? Relax on board with a drink.
- Back to DaaibooiAfter about 1.5 hours you’re back at Playa Daaibooi. Feel free to stay a while: it’s one of the prettiest beaches on the west coast.
The trip takes about 1.5 hours, including the 30-minute swim stop. You choose your departure time when you book.

- You don’t need to be able to swim: snorkeling at Cas Abou is optional.

The tour is operated by Clear Boat Curaçao, a local company run by islanders that sails from Playa Daaibooi Monday to Saturday. Their boat was custom-designed for this trip, with a fully transparent floor and a roof for shade.
The benches run along the sides, so everyone gets a good view through the floor. Along the way, the local crew tells you about the reef and points out the fish, and with a bit of luck a turtle.
