What to expect

This zipline activity will be one of the most fun, if not the most fun, activity of your vacation. Of course, safety comes first and you will notice that throughout the activity. All employees are professionally trained and constantly make sure that all participants are safe.
First you get a (safety) briefing, and then it’s time to “dress up”. You will get a harness around your waist from which you will be suspended from the zipline. You get a helmet and sturdy gloves. And then up the stairs to the first zipline! You go in groups of up to 6 people to the first zipline, but at the intermediate stations you can just keep going so you don’t have to wait for each other.
While you’re still on the platform, you can already see what a beautiful view you have of the park and take in Curaçao from the north coast all the way to the south coast. Then you’re hooked up to the zipline, and the adrenaline starts pumping. You can choose to just hang back and let the crew give you a push, or—for something a bit more exciting and much faster—run off the platform yourself. And then… whoosh… there you go, woohooo!!! Before you know it, you’ll reach the end of the first zipline. Of course, the crew will already be waiting for you there to help you land safely. All the ziplines are close together, so after a short walk, you’ll be at the next platform and ready for your next “run.” And you keep going like this until you’ve done all 5 ziplines. And here, too, “save the best for last” applies: the last zipline is the fastest!
All in all, it will take you over an hour, including preparation and safety instructions. It also depends a bit on how quickly you can move on to the next platform, but expect about 75 minutes.

Additional Information

Bring your own

You don’t need much extra, just make sure you have decent clothes and shoes. Remember to put on sunscreen in advance.
Of course you can take a camera with you, or make photo/video with your phone. It is advisable to secure the camera/phone to your body with a piece of string. If it falls down while zipping you won’t find it again.

Kleding & schoeisel

It is important that you have appropriate clothing and shoes on, especially for your own enjoyment:
– For the ladies: do not wear a skirt/dress. Put on (short) pants or leggings, something that the harness goes over easily. If you wear a skirt or dress you can do it, but it is very uncomfortable and you will probably constantly feel like pulling your skirt down because your underwear is visible.
– Put on closed shoes, preferably with laces. Definitely do not put on flip-flops, Croqs, or the like, then while zipping you will constantly have the chance of your flip-flops falling off your foot. And since you’re going through dense forest at the top, you’ll really lose them. Note: formally, it is even a requirement for participation that you have closed shoes on, so you can be refused if you arrive on your flip-flops.
– Put on your sunglasses. You want to be able to see well around you while zipping, and it’s also nice to have a good view of the platform at the end of the line.
– Apply sunscreen well in advance. You will be in the sun almost the entire activity.

Payment

When booking you make a deposit of US$ 20 p.p., the remainder you pay no later than 24 hours in advance via an online payment link sent to you.

Update or cancel

If you want to change or cancel your zipline reservation, you can do so up to 48 hours in advance completely free of charge. If we are already within 48 hours, you may be charged a fee.

Nice to know

Jandino and Kenneth Asporaat, the owners of Zipline Curaçao and Hòfi Mango, also want the park to provide opportunities for local youth. It’s nice to know that all the staff at the zipline are young people who grew up in the area around the park. They’ve received thorough professional training and are really super friendly and helpful.
