What to expect
This off-road jeep safari gets off to a relaxed start; everyone is picked up before 9:00 a.m. at one of the larger hotels in or around the city. It’s great that not everyone has to go to a single meeting point—the XXL jeep simply pulls up right outside. Since this is a small-group tour with a maximum of 16 participants, the pickup doesn’t take long, and everyone will soon be seated in the large 4×4 off-road vehicle. Then it’s off we go! You’ll leave the city on the west side: in the northwest (near Hato Airport), you’ll immediately start driving off-road across the San Pedro Plain. Always a great way to start: thick clouds of dust during dry spells or through the mud if it’s just rained.
One of the stops is at an ancient limestone cave, where the tour guide will tell you about the origins of Curaçao. The next stop is at the Savonet Museum in Christoffel National Park, where you can experience how people used to live on Curaçao’s oldest plantation.
Next, head to Boca Diegu, a cliff on the north coast where the waves of the Caribbean Sea crash violently against the rocks. It’s impressive to witness that power!
The next stop is on the south coast, at the cozy little fishing beach of Playa Piskado. With a little luck, you can see the fishermen here cleaning their catch of the day on the pier.
For a wonderfully refreshing finale, the final stop is at Daaibooi Beach, one of Curaçao’s most popular beaches with crystal-clear water and soft white sand.
Off-road driving, nature, history, and the beach: It’s no wonder this is the most popular jeep safari on Curaçao!
