Boarding points & parking
You board at Surfspot Curaçao in Caracas Bay (9:45 AM), at the Zanzibar beach club pier just past the fishermen’s harbor, or at the MOOD Beach pier (10:00 AM). Both have a large parking lot. There’s no transfer with this trip.
Good to know
- Not suitable during pregnancy, with back, neck or other physical problems, and not wheelchair accessible. You ride at your own risk and sign a waiver.
- Recommended from age 6: you must be able to stay seated and hold on by yourself. Children aged 5 or younger can only join if they’re not afraid of speed, with permission from and accompanied by a parent. Please check with us first.
- You don’t need to be able to swim, but please mention it when booking so the crew can keep an extra eye on you.
- You will get wet: move with the boat, as if you’re on a jet ski. Sporty clothes work best.
- Sea too rough? Then Powerboat Caribbean will discuss alternatives with you.
- No food on board: only drinks. Have a good breakfast or bring a small snack.
- Balance online: you’ll receive a payment link; pay no later than 24 hours before departure. If it isn’t paid in time, the booking may be cancelled without refund of the deposit.
- Cancellation: free of charge up to 72 hours before departure. If you cancel later but still 24 hours or more in advance, you get 50% back. Within 24 hours of departure or in case of a no-show, there is no refund. These are Powerboat Caribbean’s own terms: with max. 18 guests per boat, every cancellation counts.
What to bring & Mark’s tips
- Sporty clothes that can get wet, with your swimwear underneath, plus a towel.
- Reef-safe sunscreen, a cap and a UV shirt: on the water you burn quickly. Go easy on spray sunscreen near the boat’s cushions.
- Waterproof phone pouch: you will get wet on the Powerboat.
- At Tugboat, don’t stand on the coral and don’t touch anything. Looking is fine, touching isn’t.
- Camera ready in St. Anna Bay: the Handelskade from the water is picture-perfect.
- Plan a beach afternoon: you’re back by 12:30 PM, for example close to Jan Thiel or Mambo Beach.

This trip is operated by Powerboat Caribbean, the local company of Tamara Blonk and Irvin de Jongh. They run fast RIB boats and keep it small-scale: a maximum of 18 guests per boat.
The snorkel trip is their shortest tour, and according to Powerboat Caribbean perfect if you want to do something exciting without spending the whole day. The captains and crew speak English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu.
