This tour offers a free hotel pick-up service from most of the larger accommodation in/around the city. See the list in the booking form. If your accommodation is not listed, please choose an accommodation nearby and arrange to be picked up there yourself.

What to expect.

The tour starts at 09:00, but before then all guests are already picked up at their accommodation* for free. Once everyone has been picked up, the XXL jeep drives leisurely along the public road to Dinah Veeris’ herb garden. After Dinah passed away in the fall of 2024, her son took over the care and presentation of the herb garden. There you will get clear explanations and beautiful stories about the plants, herbs and trees of Curaçao and their practical application as they have arisen through the centuries on the island.
After the herb garden, the tour continues and it already gets a bit rougher. At the beautiful St. Joris Bay you will have a magnificent view and see a piece of Curaçao that will be unknown to many. Then it’s ‘fasten your seat belts’ because we are going to cross country! At Koraal Tabak is a rough path through the rugged nature where you with the XXL jeep only just fit over and where you are occasionally shaken. You drive all the way to the coast, to the entrance of St. Joris Bay where you have a magnificent view of the mighty sea pounding on the shore here. Here is a break so you can enjoy the view and have a drink.
Then on again, to the cave! An ancient cave that the guide can tell great stories about. After the visit to the cave you will get back on the public road and take a look at the Aloe Vera plantation. If necessary you can change clothes here, because the next (and last) stop is the oh so beautiful beach of Director’s Bay.
About 100 years ago this bay was only accessible for the executives of the Shell refinery and of course a beautiful beach was chosen for this. Here you can rinse off the sweat and dust and discover the fish and coral while snorkeling (snorkel gear can be borrowed from the guide). When everyone is rinsed off in the sea, the XXL jeep will take you back to your accommodation.

Other info

This is only guided off-road tour on the east side of the island. Discover how beautiful Curaçao can be. Because of the altitude difference so much different and more fun than an offroad tour west of town. It’s a nice and cool alternative for families with children who are still too small for the UTV tour, or if you want to go offroad but don’t want/can’t drive yourself.
Guide Howard or Jermaine really makes a party of it; regularly guests book this tour more often with the condition that one of these guides does the tour.
