Right next to Scuba Lodge is the city beach Dive City Curacao. Wonderful: you are in the center (with all its advantages), but also the beach right by your accommodation. Admission and beach memberships are free at Dive City; there is Happy Hour on Thursdays and Fridays.

Location

Centrally located in the trendy Pietermaai neighborhood, you’ll find Scuba Lodge, not to be missed for its colorful buildings. Hato Airport is about 13 km (20 car minutes) away. The famous Handelskade is a 1 km walk away. Popular beaches Mambo and Jan Thiel are a 6-minute and 16-minute drive away, respectively.

For whom

At Scuba Lodge, you see a wide variety of guests. From young to old, all kinds of nationalities, and people traveling alone or families. What is certainly also good to see is that quite often there are guests who return to Scuba Lodge on a regular basis. Actually, Scuba Lodge is suitable for everyone, only it is a less suitable accommodation for less able-bodied travelers. Due to the old and different buildings, there are steps (no elevator available) and thresholds here and there on the complex that make the location less suitable for e.g. travelers in wheelchairs. You also won’t likely find families with small children here, as there is relatively little focused on small children at Scuba Lodge and in the surrounding area.

Scuba Lodge has an open restaurant/bar, the Heeren at Sea. With a covered terrace and a terrace on the sand right by the sea. Service is a la carte, with no time limit on ordering breakfast or dinner. Want to start the day with a steak and fries, or around 4 p.m. for a delicious breakfast? No problem.
Several (coffee) bars, cafes and restaurants are also within walking distance of Scuba Lodge. Plenty of choice!

In terms of hotel rooms, you have a choice of 4 different types:
– Standard rooms include king-size bed, modern bathroom with rain shower, refrigerator, air conditioning + fan and safe. On first floor a private terrace, on 1st floor a common gallery with seating.
– Superior rooms have the same amenities as a Standard room, but slightly more spacious and with kitchenettes.
– Superior Deluxe rooms are similar to the Superior rooms, but have a private balcony/terrace.
– Superior Deluxe Rooms with Ocean View.

Scuba Lodge offers 4 types of apartment:
– 1-bedroom city side
– 2-bedrooms city side
– 2-bedrooms sea view
– 3-bedroom sea view
Almost all apartments include fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning in bedrooms, coffee maker, dishwasher (not in 1-bedroom variants), safe, daily cleaning, washing machine (not in 1-bedroom variants).
