With over 20 rooms & suites the hotel is not very large, but this allows the staff to give all personal attention to all guests. You will notice this immediately upon arrival: very friendly staff who immediately make you feel really welcome, your room is already nice and cool because they have already turned on the air conditioning for you, and as a lovely surprise there is a nice drink for you in the fridge. The rooms and suites are very spacious. Partly because of this, Dolphin Suites is the Caribbean’s only completely wheelchair-friendly accommodation. Large bathroom, spacious living room and also the bedrooms have enough space for movement. Each room and suite has a spacious terrace or balcony, so relaxing on your own balcony/terrace after a long beach day is no problem.

Service for shopping

Dolphin Suites also offers delicious grocery shopping service. For example, you can take the free grocery shuttle to Supermarket Vreugdenhil, one of the larger supermarkets on Curaçao. And want delicious fresh rolls for breakfast? Order your favorite sandwiches from Breakfast Service: plenty of choice, fresh from the hot bakery and delicious!

Sustainable

Dolphin Suites & Wellness values sustainable business practices and tries to keep its carbon footprint as minimal as possible. They do this through energy-efficient equipment, solar water heaters, solar panels, water recycling, salt and magnesium in the pool instead of chemicals and biodegradable cleaning products, among other things. This makes Dolphin Suites the most sustainable hotel in Curacao.

The hotel is a one-minute walk from Mambo Beach, to which guests of Dolphin Suites have free access. At the reception of the accommodation you can get a voucher that will allow you to use a beach bed at Mambo for free, so if you want to go into the sea for a dip, that’s also quite possible.
Dolphin Suites & Wellness itself offers opportunity for refreshment: 2 swimming pools! At the front a beautiful saltwater pool, equipped with pool elevator and surrounded by luxury sunbeds. Dolphin Suites & Wellness is centrally located on Curacao. Right behind Mambo Beach Boulevard, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. And as a guest of Dolphin Suites & Wellness, you have free access to the beach. Tourist locations such as Handelskade, Pietermaai, Jan Thiel or the Pontjesbrug are about a 10-minute drive away. Dolphin Suites & Wellness has a guarded parking lot in front, so you can always park your rental car Curacao nearby. And, of course, Sea Aquarium Park (including the Dolphin Academy) is just around the corner.

For whom

Dolphin Suites & Wellness is the only completely wheelchair-friendly accommodation in Curacao, so this is a great accommodation for people who are wheelchair-bound. However, it is certainly also a wonderful place for families, partly because of the facilities in the immediate area and the spacious rooms and suites.
In addition, this accommodation is also great for those seeking peace and quiet: As soon as you walk into the accommodation a pleasant tranquility falls over you and you can relax and enjoy Curacao.

Rates and availability

Are you booking just the accommodation, or including airfare? A package tour incl. airfare is usually more economical than booking the airfare and accommodation separately. But if you already have tickets or you want to combine your stay with a stay in another location, booking just the accommodation is obviously more convenient and economical.

Dolphin Suites & Wellness has 2 pools, one of which has a elevator for disabled people. One pool is at the front and the other pool is at the back of the accommodation: so you can always swim in sun or shade, just what you feel like. Sunbeds are available at both pools and, of course, you can borrow free beach towels at the reception.
A one-minute walk away you will find Sea Aquarium Beach (Mambo Beach), one of Curacao’s larger public beaches, which attracts many tourists. There are plenty of sunbeds available here, and through the hotel you can get vouchers for a free sunbed. You will also find cozy beach bars (Happy Hour!), stores and restaurants.

Dolphin Suites & Wellness itself has no restaurant facilities, but you can book breakfast, half board and full board. This will involve using the restaurants of the adjacent resort.
Highly recommended is the breakfast service, where bread is brought to your room every morning. The bread is freshly baked at one of the better warm bakeries in Curacao and you can really order anything you know from your bakery in the Netherlands. From currant bun to croissant, from half white to a sliced floor brown with extra cereal. Superb!
If you want to go to the supermarket to buy your toppings, you can also join the grocery shuttle, which runs Monday through Saturday to one of Curacao’s better supermarkets.
Furthermore, with the many beach bars and restaurants in the immediate area, there is plenty of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks on offer.

Established in 2008 by the Curacao Dolphin Therapy Center, Dolphin Suites & Wellness is 100% wheelchair friendly. All spacious, wide passages and, of course, there is an elevator. With the concept of “a home away from home,” you will find intimate, cozy accommodation. Not a resort with a quantity of rooms to get lost in, but rather all the space and attention to the personal desire of the guests.
The location is ideal: next to the popular Mambo Beach, yet also in a quiet corner so you don’t actually notice on the property that you are next to a highly sought-after tourist location.
A major project to greatly expand the accommodation is underway in 2022.

In terms of rooms, Dolphin Suites & Wellness offers 4 different types:
The standard room is suitable for 2 persons (1x double bed). The rooms (all on the first floor) are 32 m² in size and have a terrace with outdoor table and chairs. M.e. suitable for couples or travelers with more limited budget.
The studio can accommodate up to 3 people (1x double bed + 1x sofa bed). A wonderful place for honeymooners! With 60 square meters, a spacious combination of sleeping space, kitchen and living room. Views of the Caribbean sea!
The suite is ideal for families with children, up to 5 persons (1x double bed + 2x single bed + sofa bed). With two bedrooms and a separate living room with an open kitchen fully equipped. With lovely balcony to watch the setting sun at the end of the day.
The family suite is suitable for the larger families, up to 6 persons (2x double bed + 2x single bed). This is a combination of the standard room and a suite.

Activities at Dolphin Suites & Wellness have traditionally focused on the Curacao Dolphin Therapy Center, therapy for the disabled. Of course, a 1-minute walk takes you to Sea Aquarium Park or you can relax at the Dolphin Spa with a massage or a facial, hand and/or foot treatment. There is a BBQ area where BBQ can be used free of charge (BBQ packages available through the reception). There are also yoga classes that anyone can sign up for, of any level.
You can also use various medical devices. For example, Dolphin Suites & Wellness is the only accommodation on Curacao that also has special beach wheelchairs for its guests. For transportation to and from the airport, you can book the wheelchair bus.
