Mark van der Panne – basics
- Born in 1973, raised in Alphen aan den Rijn
- Lives in The Hague with wife, three children and two dogs
- Summer 2013, we went on a 9-month sabbatical with our family in Curaçao
Curacao
My love for Curaçao started dormant with our first vacation to this beautiful island in 2009, our honeymoon. In late 2012, a number of things came together in our family, giving us a “now or never” opportunity for a sabbatical. Also because of the language for the children, the choice for Curaçao was quickly made. And we didn’t regret that for a moment! From August 2013 to April 2014, we had the opportunity to live on this wonderful island and became even more infected with the Curacao virus. Nevertheless, we made a very conscious decision not to live in Curaçao, but we still think back daily to this wonderful piece of the Netherlands in the Caribbean.
