Always wanted to shoot a real gun in a safe environment? That is possible on Curacao! With this introduction you will get explanations and shoot with different weapons. Of course all under the expert guidance of certified instructors and with safety first.

Shooting range – Introduction

Rate

  • 18 yr. and older: US$ 115 p.p.
  • Sign-ups for 4 people or less can be merged with another group. Sign-ups of 5 people or more are a private session.

Upon reservation you make a deposit of US$ 20 p.p., the remainder you pay at check-in, cash and in Caribbean Guilders, Cg 170 p.p. or US$ 95 p.p.

Location

The shooting range is located in the Santa Rosa neighborhood on the north side of Curaçao. After booking the tour operator will send you the location. Here you can park for free on your own enclosed lot.
No transfer is offered with this tour.

What to expect.

Upon arrival, you immediately notice that safety is paramount at this shooting range introduction class. The grounds are well locked, located in a deserted area and the instructors make sure everything is done safely. The introduction lesson is always in small groups. If your group is more than 6 people, it is always a private session. If there are less than 6 of you, you may be put together with another small group; just as cozy!
First, you get the explanation of safe gun handling in general. How to hold the weapon, what is the correct body position to minimize the recoil, how to aim, etc. And of course, safety glasses and ear protection are available for each participant.
Several weapons are available and everyone gets to take turns shooting with the weapon offered by the crew. You are with a handgun, then shoot with a rifle and the last round is with a shotgun*.
For each weapon, you have several bullets. You shoot at targets (a target or balloons) and are told in advance how to earn points. It is fun to have a little competition among yourselves about who is the best shooter.
You will take turns shooting and each time you will receive personal guidance from the crew.
The crew will also take pictures and short films of the participants during the shooting. These will be sent to you free of charge (digitally) afterwards.
*: Shooting with a shotgun can be quite violent in terms of recoil, and is therefore not suitable for everyone. This will be assessed and discussed in advance by the instructors. If this is not considered suitable for you, an alternative weapon will be offered.

Small variation in starting time

The duration of the session strongly depends on the number of participants. When booking you can give an indication of when you would like to start, but the final start time is determined based on availability and will of course be reported in the confirmation.

  • Shoes that you stand firmly in. Slippers, slippers, Croqs, etc. will not allow you to enter the grounds.

For who

  • Participants are 18 years of age or older.
  • Participants are not under the influence of drugs, alcohol or anything that may influence your actions.
  • You are physically able to stand firm completely independently and follow crew instructions directly.
  • Persons under 18 years of age may attend as spectators. They are required to wear the protective equipment offered and may not enter the shooting range under any circumstances. Their presence is entirely at the risk of the parents/guardians.
  • Sign-ups for 4 people or less may be merged with another group. Registrations for 5 people or more will be offered a private session.

Duration

It is quite difficult to indicate in advance how long the session will take, it depends very much on the number of participants. If there are 2 of you, it will take about half an hour. If you are with 5 people, then it will easily take about an hour.
You are not booking for a specific amount of time, you are booking an introduction to shooting weapons.
Registrations for 4 people or less can be combined with another group. For 5 people or more, a private session will be offered.

Safety

Safety comes first, from the moment you enter until the moment you leave the premises. Hence the following rules:
– Please follow the instructions of the crew.
– Funny behavior that might endanger the safety of yourself or others is not allowed.
– Safety glasses and ear protection are available for every participant (free of charge).
– If the crew feels that your participation is not completely safe for yourself or the environment, your participation will be refused/stop immediately. This may also result in the immediate termination of the session for the entire group. In no case will you be entitled to a refund.
– Wearing sturdy shoes is mandatory. If you come in flip-flops, croqs, sandals or similar, access to the shooting range will be denied.

Payment

You make a down payment at reservation. You pay the balance at check-in; cash only in Caribbean Guilders, Cg 170 p.p.

Change or cancel

You can change or cancel a booked introduction to the shooting range up to 48 hours in advance completely free of charge. If we are already within 48 hours before the booked date then charges may apply.

    Vanmorgen geweest, een echte aanrader.
    Goeie uitleg en stellen je gerust als je het nog nooit hebt gedaan.
    Echt leuke mensen.
    Je gaat met een lach weer op pad.
    Volgende keer gaan we weer als we op curacao zijn.
