Since October 2023, van Rooi Fish Market & Restaurant has been located on Schottegatweg Zuid. Don’t let the name fool you—the restaurant and the fish market are in two buildings right next to each other. You can enjoy both lunch and dinner here, as the restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and from Tuesday through Saturday, van Rooi is also open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As soon as you walk in, you’ll be immediately struck by the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in this tastefully decorated restaurant. If you prefer a small, intimate setting, Van Rooi Restaurant is the place for you. The service is friendly and personalized, and the menu is well-curated. It features a variety of shellfish, salmon, tuna, and octopus, among other items. The lobster bisque is flavorful, and the salmon tartare is also deliciously prepared.
