Ziplining in Curaçao: 9 Things You’ll Want to Know Before You Go

Updated: October 13, 2026 · By Mark from NaarCuracao

Curaçao has beaches, sea turtles and pastechi in abundance. But ziplining? For a long time, you couldn’t do that here. Since late 2025 you can: in Hòfi Mango nature park you hang from a cable 165 feet (50 m) above a century-old mango forest, with the Caribbean Sea in the distance. Ready to fly? Here are the 9 things you’ll want to know before you buckle your harness.

1. Curaçao finally has a zipline

The zipline at Hòfi Mango is Curaçao’s first zipline. After a preview for the first guests, it officially opened on November 22, 2025, with the slogan ‘Zip, Fly, Feel Alive’.

Behind the company, Zipline Adventures Curaçao, are brothers Jandino and Kenneth Asporaat. “Honestly, who wouldn’t want to fly over their own island?” Jandino said at the opening. We really have nothing to add.

2. The zipline is in Hòfi Mango, in Bandabou

You’ll find the zipline in Hòfi Mango, a former plantation in Santa Cruz that is now a nature park. It’s in Bandabou, the green west of Curaçao, between Soto and Lagun.

From Willemstad it’s about a 30-minute drive. Parking is free, and bus line 3 stops at the park. Transportation is not included, so a rental car is easiest.

3. Five lines, one kilometer, 165 feet high

The zipline consists of 5 lines in a row. You start on a hilltop in the park and zip from platform to platform.

4. Is ziplining on Curaçao scary?

Honestly? Most people find it mostly great fun and not scary at all. You’re securely strapped into a harness, with a helmet and gloves on, and the crew is ready on every platform.

The most exciting moment is the first step off the platform. After that, it’s all about the wind and the view. And if you really don’t dare, just come along as a spectator and take the photos from the ground.

Good to know: the zipline crew is made up of young local staff who trained for a full month. Before you set off, you get a safety briefing at base camp.

Here’s what it looks like

5. Who can go?

The zipline is fun for almost everyone, but there are a few rules:

  • At least 8 years old and 4 feet (1.20 m) tall
  • A weight between 50 and 250 lb (25–113 kg)
  • Every participant signs a waiver; for children, a parent does that
  • Not if you’re pregnant, have had recent surgery or an injury, have epilepsy or limited use of your arms or legs

Back problems or a heart condition? Check with your doctor first.

6. What should you wear?

This is the most important list in this whole post, because without closed-toe shoes you can’t go.

  • Closed-toe shoes: sneakers are perfect. Flip-flops and sandals stay in the car.
  • Pants or leggings: the harness goes around your legs, so leave the skirt or dress in the closet today.
  • Phone only with a cord attached to your body. The mango forest doesn’t give anything back.
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen: you’re out in full sun on the platforms.

7. How long does it take, and which time slot should you pick?

Allow about 75 minutes for the zipline, including the briefing and getting geared up. You do need to be there 30 minutes before your time slot.

The zipline is open Tuesday to Sunday, with time slots at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. You can’t zipline on Mondays.

Our tip: pick an early time slot. It’s still nice and cool, and you have the rest of the day for the park and a beach on the west side.

8. How much does ziplining on Curaçao cost?

With NaarCuracao you pay no booking or reservation fees. Park access is always included in your ticket.
