Cura\u00e7ao has beaches, sea turtles and pastechi in abundance. But ziplining? For a long time, you couldn\u2019t do that here. Since late 2025 you can: in H\u00f2fi Mango nature park you hang from a cable 165 feet (50 m) above a century-old mango forest, with the Caribbean Sea in the distance. Ready to fly? Here are the 9 things you\u2019ll want to know before you buckle your harness.<\/p>\n

      1. Cura\u00e7ao finally has a zipline<\/h2>\n

      The zipline at H\u00f2fi Mango is Cura\u00e7ao\u2019s first zipline<\/strong>. After a preview for the first guests, it officially opened on November 22, 2025<\/strong>, with the slogan ‘Zip, Fly, Feel Alive’.<\/p>\n

      Behind the company, Zipline Adventures Cura\u00e7ao, are brothers Jandino and Kenneth Asporaat<\/strong>. “Honestly, who wouldn\u2019t want to fly over their own island?” Jandino said at the opening. We really have nothing to add.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

      2. The zipline is in H\u00f2fi Mango, in Bandabou<\/h2>\n

      You\u2019ll find the zipline in H\u00f2fi Mango<\/strong>, a former plantation in Santa Cruz that is now a nature park. It\u2019s in Bandabou, the green west of Cura\u00e7ao, between Soto and Lagun.<\/p>\n

      From Willemstad it\u2019s about a 30-minute drive<\/strong>. Parking is free, and bus line 3 stops at the park. Transportation is not included, so a rental car is easiest.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

      3. Five lines, one kilometer, 165 feet high<\/h2>\n

      The zipline consists of 5 lines<\/strong> in a row. You start on a hilltop in the park and zip from platform to platform.<\/p>\n

      4. Is ziplining on Cura\u00e7ao scary?<\/h2>\n

      Honestly? Most people find it mostly great fun and not scary at all.<\/strong> You\u2019re securely strapped into a harness, with a helmet and gloves on, and the crew is ready on every platform.<\/p>\n

      The most exciting moment is the first step off the platform. After that, it\u2019s all about the wind and the view. And if you really don\u2019t dare, just come along as a spectator and take the photos from the ground.<\/p>\n

      Good to know:<\/strong> the zipline crew is made up of young local staff who trained for a full month. Before you set off, you get a safety briefing at base camp.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n
